It Was a Riot! Coffee & Networking in SODO

Our SODO community members brought the energy for not one, but two events on June 26th! We’re proud to serve such an engaged and dynamic network of business and individuals. In case you missed them, check out the highlights and learn more about events coming your way.

Coffee Hour Connections

We started the day off with our monthly Coffee Hour at the SODO BIA Office. These gatherings have become a wonderful way to connect with our SODO neighbors over a morning beverage and a pastry.

It’s been a joy to see new faces, welcoming them, and introducing them to community members. These Coffee Hours are also a great opportunity to ask the BIA Team questions, and become familiar with how we can support them.

June’s Coffee Hour was catered by Lula Coffee Co., a local staple located by the Old Rainier Brewery. Fun drinks and delicious pastries were the perfect way to start the morning.

Networking & Print Shop Tours at Riot

Later in the day, the Riot Creative Imaging Team hosted us in their warehouse and print shop for our second networking mixer of the year. Surrounded by vast printing machines and unique signage, attendees enjoyed private tours of the space and see process first-hand for creating large-scale graphics.

Having recently installed signage for the Tacoma Art Museum, the Riot team was gracious enough to welcome us into their space – and even personalized their digital sign just for our event!

Special thanks to Paseo for catering the event. Attendees enjoyed a variety of unforgettable Caribbean sandwiches and, of course, desserts.
