SODO Steps Up Spotlights Paseo Caribbean Food Paseo has partnered with Seattle Mariners and Bloodworks Northwest in supporting the Pop-up Blood Drive at TMobilePark from April 13th – May 31st! All donors receive 2 tickets to a Mariners games and 20% off 2 Paseo menu items for curbside pick-up. Allison & Ross Fine Art Services Allison and Ross Fine Arts has turned their fitting table into a shield production area and have been working hard to get face shields to the local medical staff heroes that are working tirelessly for all of us. Elsom Cellars and 2bar Spirits 2bar jumped into action and changed their production to help fulfill the demand for hand sanitizer. Elsom Cellars donated 400 gallons of our wine to be distilled into alcohol to aid in this process. We are fortunate to have such innovative and creative partners seeking to help the community in an way they can. Elsom Cellars will now offer a hand sanitizer with every wine purchase while supplies last! The Seattle Sounders FC Relief Fund has awarded its first cycle of grants, with additional funding cycles currently open In its first cycle, the fund awarded over $200,000 in direct assistance to 143 individuals and 17 small businesses. Seattle Sounders FC today announced that the club’s recently established COVID-19 community relief fund, the Seattle Sounders FC Relief Fund, has awarded its first cycle of grants to qualified individuals and small businesses, with additional funding cycles currently open. Potential beneficiaries are encouraged to apply to access assistance from the fund at SoundersFC.com/ReliefFund. Qualified applicants not receiving a grant in the initial cycle remain eligible for future cycles and do not need to re-apply. PPP & EIDL Funding Replenished! APPLY NOW! Last Friday, the US government approved an additional $484B relief package to support small businesses, organizations, and workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The new package includes $320B to replenish the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and $60B to replenish the Small Business Administration’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Loan Advance program (EIDL). We anticipate that these funds will not last long so we urge you to review the PPP and EIDL resources below and apply as soon as possible. Mayor Durkan, Council President González, Councilmember Herbold Announce New Emergency Order to Cap Third-Party Commissions and Support Local Restaurants Emergency Order Will Cap Commission Fees at 15 Percent; Requires that 100 Percent of Tips go to Drivers SEATTLE (April 24, 2020) – Mayor Jenny A. Durkan, Council President M. Lorena González, and Councilmember Lisa Herbold today announced a new Emergency Order to impose a 15 percent commission cap on third-party delivery services. The necessary statewide ‘Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ order has caused restaurants to rely solely on delivery and takeout services for revenue, and many restaurants use third-party delivery services to meet the needs of their customers and keep their staff safe. The 15 percent commission cap will remain in place until restaurants are allowed to offer unrestricted dine-in service in the City of Seattle.
