SODO Steps Up Spotlights
Food Lifeline Expands into SODO Warehouse
Prologis donated a 250,000 square-foot warehouse in SODO to Food Lifeline to support the growing demand at food banks, shelters, and meal programs.
Food Lifeline has partnered with similar organizations, including Second Harvest and Northwest Harvest, to cover
the entire state.
Macrina Bakery & Cafe
During this COVID-19 pandemic, Macrina Bakery & Cafe has decided to donate 220 care packages each week in April to area hospitals! If you would like to support our health care workers you can donate a care package and Macrina can deliver it on your behalf. Additionally, their care packages are available for anyone you know who could use a little extra support right them!
The Plate Fund
The COVID-19 crisis is devastating for thousands of restaurant-industry workers who have lost their jobs and rely on every paycheck to afford necessities like food, transportation, baby products and medicine.
To help, The Plate Fund is providing immediate financial assistance to those who have been hardest-hit in King County.
The need is enormous, and the money the fund distributes is limited to what we raise in the days and weeks ahead. While our goal is to help as many people as possible, priority is given to applicants most in need, and the order applications are received.

SODO BIA & KULA
SODO BIA is partnering with KULA to support SODO’s dining establishments.
Restaurants offering take-out and/or self-delivery can take online food orders from patrons who are using their phone, tablet or computer, all through one site. KULA directly connects diners with their local eateries. During the COVID-19 crises, they aim to help small businesses, protect restaurant industry jobs and stimulate the economy while providing service to hungry patrons and following the most up-to-date social distancing guidelines.
Many restaurants are seizing their only opportunity to make ends meet by providing take-out and/or delivery service for their community. During this time of uncertainty, one thing is constant: We still need to eat! KULA is different from other restaurant ordering sites by not charging fees or commission. KULA is the one-stop-shop for your neighborhood establishments.
