11/23/2015- SODO’s Newest Mural

Local Artist,  Mary Iverson, is putting the final touches on the newest mural in SODO. Located on the north side of 2905 4th Ave S, the mural was sponsored by American Express as part of their Small Business Saturday promotion.  A coordinated planning effort that involved  Urban Artworks, SODO BIA and Gull Industries made this mural possible. 10/20/2015: City Council Passes Heavy Haul Network Legislation.

Mayor Ed Murray praised the Seattle City Council for passing legislation establishing a heavy haul network of city streets in Seattle. 9/3/2015- Before and After: Occidental Street Paving Project

What a difference a day makes! The paving on Occidental is complete and looks great. This was a co-sponsored project of the SODO BIA and SDOT, funded as part of the BIA’s Transportation initiative. The Seahawks pre-season home opener is tonight at Centurylink Field- 7 pm. The SODO BIA welcome Seahawks fans and has deployed dumpster/honeybucket combos throughout SODO for the convenience of tailgaters and to keep our streets clean for local businesses and patrons.
