3/3/2016: A SODO Conversation with SPD- Event Recap
On March 2nd, more than 75 SODO stakeholders came together to meet with representatives from the Seattle Police Department to discuss safety issues and enforcement plans in SODO. Key topics were the “Jungle: and other illegal campers and the public safety and health issues they represent in the district. During the event Asst Chief Steve Wilske addressed the challenges that SPD faces in dealing with these issues and answered attendees’ questions, He also shared South Precinct contacts and resources for businesses to contact for assistance with chronic issues. The SODO BIA intends to continue these types of events to better inform and empower the SODO district.
