3/16/16: Good News about Car Prowls for SODO

Captain Mike Washburn, South Precinct reports: While preparing for tomorrow’s SeaStat meeting, I noticed that while car prowls are up citywide, the SODO neighborhood is down 54% (39 incidents) year-to-date compared to last year. Car prowls have been SODO’s biggest crime issue, so this is a big victory. Since January, the BIA has contracted with SPD for additional car prowl emphasis patrols and the effect is noticeable.
